K-5th Boys & Girls Dining Etiquette Program

Calendar Apr 23, 2023 at 4 pm, runs for 6 weeks

These are one (1) hour etiquette lessons held once a week for six (6) weeks at the Explora Science Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico. *Lessons 3 and 4 will be combined over a weekend. (Lesson 3 on Saturday May 13, and Lesson 4 on Sunday, May 14).

Students are presented with 'Certificates of Achievement' after they have completed all lessons of the program.

Parents, please note that food will be served to students during some of the lessons. Please let the instructor know of any food allergies as soon as possible. 

Lessons included are: 

  • Lesson 1: Introductions 
  • Lesson 2: Table Manners
  • Lesson 3: American Dining
  • Lesson 4: Continental Dining
  • Lesson 5: Pizza Etiquette Party
  • Lesson 6: Parent / Student Wrap-up

IMPORTANT: Payment must be paid in full at least two days prior to the first day of class. Payment plan options available to those paying weeks in advance. Thank you for your attention and understanding to this.

*There is a $25 fee per makeup lesson per student. *No makeup lessons available for the Pizza Etiquette Lesson and the Parent / Student Wrap-up lesson. Please let the instructor know as soon as possible if a makeup lesson is needed. Thank you.

Cancelation policy:  If a cancelation is received at least 5 business days before the first lesson, a refund will be issued for the amount minus a 15% administration fee.Cancelations received fewer than 5 business days before the first class will not be refunded.Full fees will be refunded if the NM School of Etiquette cancels a program.

Payment plan available: $35 deposit plus 5 payments of $31.25, paid weekly. Final payment of $18.75.

Calendar Jun 3, 2023 at 4 pm, runs for 8 weeks

These are one (1) hour etiquette lessons held once a week for eight (8) weeks. Lessons will be taught at the Explora Science Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Students will dine at a formal restaurant to put their newfound etiquette skills into practice (restaurant cost included with the cost of the program). 

Students are presented with 'Certificates of Achievement' after they have completed all lessons of the program.  

Parents, please note that food will be served to students during some of the lessons. Please let the instructor know of any food allergies as soon as possible.

  •  Lesson 1: Introductions 
  •  Lesson 2: Walking Gracefully 
  •  Lesson 3: Clothing Class
  •  Lesson 4: Dining Skills
  •  Lesson 5: Set Your Place at the Table
  •  Lesson 6: Respect & Courtesy
  •  Lesson 7: Four-Course Meal
  •  Lesson 8: Parent / Student Wrap-up

These are one (1) hour etiquette lessons held once a week for eight (8) weeks every Sunday with the exception of Sunday, June 11th (rescheduling for this lesson TBD). Lessons will be taught at the Explora Science Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Students will experience a four-course meal to put their newfound etiquette skills into practice (restaurant cost included with the cost of the program). 

Students are presented with 'Certificates of Achievement' after they have completed all lessons of the program. 

Parents, please note that food will be served to students during some of the lessons. Please let the instructor know of any food allergies as soon as possible.

What Are Social Graces?

Simply put, social graces are particular skills that help us navigate politely in our social circles. They include behavior, manners and etiquette. It is incredibly important for children to learn and observe these skills to develop the common courtesies that people are generally expected to show each other. Imagine how raising a child to be polite and courteous will affect them in the future. Be it becoming a responsible citizen, family member or professional, social graces will be monumental in paving the way.

Students will dine at a formal restaurant to put their newfound etiquette skills into practice (restaurant cost included with the cost of the program). 

Students are presented with 'Certificates of Achievement' after they have completed all lessons of the program.
